The FIH Pro League has kicked off with a number of teams playing their first International games of 2020.

Great Britain vs Australia
The GB Men drew their first game 4 – 4, losing on Penalty Shuffles 3-1. The Women lost 2-1.
In a freak rain storm the Women’s match was cancelled due to an unplayable pitch. The GB team were up 0-1 at half time but according the the FIH rule the match was awarded to the Australian team on account of their win the day before.
Great Britain vs New Zealand
The Women’s team won their first match in Auckland 3-0, a great result after the disappointment of the cancellation against Australia.
The Men’s team drew 1-1 and lost again on shuffles 3-1.
The Men’s team righted the score winning 3-0 to finish off the tour.
The Women’s Great Britain squad drew 2-2 but won the Penalty Shuffles 5-4 to take home points.
Men – India Beat World Champions Belgium
Argentina v USA and Spain (Women / Men)
The Argentinian Women came away with two wins in Buenos Aires. A 6-2 and 6-1 win over their Pan American rivals the USA gave them a great start to the 2020 FIH Pro League Tournament. More detail here.
The Argentinean Men played Spain, each team taking 3 points from the 2 game battle. Game 1 was won by Spain 4-3 but avenged on Saturday with a 5-1 won for Argentina.
